MCARES hosts a monthly digital modes training net so that ARES members and other interested radio operators can practice transferring digital data on UHF. We’re primarily interested in image transfer via SSTV and text transfer with FLDigi and the MT63-2000 mode.

Multnomah County ARES is providing radio communications support for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Walk MS Event in Portland. We will keep event officials informed of the progress of walkers along the event route, and coordinate emergency response if needed.
While providing essential communications support for the walk, MCARES gains a valuable training opportunity for new and seasoned amateur radio operators alike.
