MCARES hosts a monthly digital modes training net so that ARES members and other interested radio operators can practice transferring digital data on UHF. We’re primarily interested in image transfer via SSTV and text transfer with FLDigi and the MT63-2000 mode.
This net meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM local time on the W7LT 146.84 MHz repeater for the purposes of training and exchanging information about ARES and Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NET) activities, as well other items of interest to the amateur radio community. You do not need to be an ARES or NET member to check into this net; all stations are welcome.

Field Exercise
Saturday, 13 August 2022 @ 09:00 - 12:00
The goals of this exercise are to train all team members on how to set up the go kit and how to set up the radio as a crossband repeater and a digipeater. Each team member will practice these skills with guidance from the team leader and the written instructions in each kit. Each team will also send a Winlink net check in template form with the callsigns of all the operators onsite.
